Cody was born and raised in East Texas. He was saved at the age of 17 and three months after the Lord converted him, he surrendered to serve Him in vocational ministry. Cody attended East Texas Baptist University (where he met and married his wife Reese) and received his BA in Ministry Careers with a minor in Missions. During college he served part-time in youth ministry at three different churches, led the evangelism team for the BSM, served on the Rec Team for ETBU. After graduation he and his wife spent two years in Lufkin and six years in Bay City as a full-time youth minister. After twelve years in youth ministry the Lord put it on Cody's heart along with 3 other families to plant Coastal Family Bible Church. He feels truly blessed to be on this journey and to be called and used of God for over 14 years now as the Pastor of CFBC. Cody and Reese have been married for 24 years and have four boys; Gavin, Elijah, Josiah, and Koen and three girls; Amariah, Evangeline and Adalynn.
